had my SB mech solid black for a year now. had a problem with it not firing but half the time.called and they said put 5.00 in the tube and send it to us it was back in my hands 4 days later in perfect working order. just pull the trigger if you have been thinking about it!!! got the "vulcan" atty at.06 classy combo!!! will not regret getting one. I have owned 4 SB's, one OmeGa and one SB-M, all black. I like them all except the OmeGa. I treat them rough. It's just a tool. I don't care what they look like, they just have to work. And they all do. Perfectly. But all my SB's are dinged, chipped, scratched and generally banged up. Not my SB-M. And I treat it just as bad. Dropped it one time so hard that it broke the drip tip off in the atomizer and it went skittering across the floor. I've dropped it on tile, stone, concrete and even gravel. And I've dropped it hard. Not a scratch on it. Looks like the day I bought it. Don't know what you guys did, but you did right. Well, maybe I do care what it looks like. I would highly recommend the SB-M, very highly. Had some button issues with the OG SB a year ago. (Rare) returned. A week ago I bought the chrome SB M. Love it. Had a minor issue with the button, I thought, but resolved it by adjusting the center pin to my tank. I believe the tank wasn't making full contact. User error. ALL I can say is wow! What a wonderful Mech!

The weight of this mod is nice. Stays where you put it and the BUTTON is IN the RIGHT place. Not too heavy and not too light, Just right

You can set this mod down and it stays where you out it..
Hits hard too!

Button switch is wonderful! Easy to push!

Overall

Absolutely LOVE this mechanical mod! It is a hard hitter paired with my various RDAs and must have some extremely low voltage drop. Adjustable pin is a nice option even though I've yet to have need of it. Would have given 5 stars except that the firing button requires solid press from dead center. Lazy presses around the edges are about 50/50. Still have an original SB, and that firing button never missed. Regardless, this is the best mechanical I've ever used and I truly like the firing button placement the SB offers. Bottom buttons weird me out for some reason and don't feel comfortable to use all day.

If different color tubes are ever released I'll be first in line. :) (Posted on 4/8/2014)

great mod. the whole "not firing" thing was mostly fixed for me when i put it back together after cleaning e juice from a leaky tank. i did it to feel and it might be a little tighter than out of the factory. great improvement with the adjustable pins with no tiny rubber insulator to push out. fits the old battery tube so ive got a black top with a green bottom and i think the contrast is cool. Slick and shiny finish. Seems very well plated. Resistant to scratches is excellent.
The switch is simple to clean . The mechanism seems well thought out & implemented. 1 tool disassemble- y.
I checked the voltages on this mod with a lab grade digital voltmeter and it showed a less than .001 no load voltage drop through the switch as opposed to reading the uninstalled battery. That is pretty much unheard of . VERY little loss.
As mechanical mods go this has to be the best value for a made in USA . Hits very well. (Posted on 2/18/2014)

Firstly, I've had an original SB for quite a while and love it. So when I saw a fully mech version I had to buy it. This is a beautiful mod and it feels even better in the hand than the original SB.

I have run into a couple of problems with it (which is why I only have a 4 star rating at this time). Sometimes it won't fire, and I think may be an issue with the button not making contact or something to do with the center pin, but I'm not sure as it's intermittent. I'm still waiting to hear back from altsmoke.

All that being said, this is a fantastic mod and would buy another in a heart beat. They've been making some of the best mods on the market for years now and the SB-Mech is no exception. (Posted on 1/30/2014)
